Start by confirming that the person or vendor you're onboarding can be reached:

  • Validate mobile number with OTP using Mobile Number Verification API.
  • Confirm email ownership with a one-time link or code using Email ID verification API.

Step 2: Identity Verification Using Officially Valid Documents
Description

Next, verify identity using one or more Officially Valid Documents:

  • The user uploads images of Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID (as applicable)
  • OCR APIs read the document and extract key data points – name, date of birth, document number, expiry, etc.
  • Verification APIs such as Passport Verification, Driving License Verification and Voter ID Verification API check this data against the relevant issuing authority or registry (Passport authority, RTO/MoRTH, Election Commission, etc.).
  • Face match compares a live selfie with the photo on the document to prevent impersonation.

No. The flow is designed around Officially Valid Documents such as Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, and PAN. Aadhaar-based eKYC can be added as a separate journey where permitted and appropriate, but it is not a dependency for this use case.

Answer
You can configure which OVDs to accept based on your policy, typically Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, and PAN. The platform uses OCR and verification APIs to read and validate these documents against trusted sources.

Yes. The same verification stack can be reused for full-time employees, contractors, gig workers, vendors, and partners. You can define different flows or rule sets per segment (for example, extra checks for high-risk roles or critical vendors).

Answer
All checks – OVD verification, face match, PAN, risk screening, and digital signing – are exposed via APIs. Your HRMS, ERP, or VMS can trigger these APIs, receive responses, and store outcomes, allowing onboarding to stay inside your current systems while the verification happens behind the scenes.
