Mumbai, January 16, 2026: Protean eGov Technologies Limited today announced a planned leadership transition, with Mr. Suresh Sethi deciding to step down from his role as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, effective March 31, 2026, to pursue other interests.
This transition marks a significant milestone in Protean’s transformational journey over the last six years under Mr. Suresh Sethi’s leadership. During his tenure, he led the singular transformation of Protean into a leading Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) company. His leadership saw the successful public listing of the company and a comprehensive rebranding initiative that defined a new identity for the organization. As the company expanded its domestic and international presence and built a diversified, future-ready portfolio, the Board expressed its deep appreciation for his contributions and exemplary leadership during this phase of significant growth and transformation of the company. As the company prepares for its next phase of strategic growth, Mr. Sethi is now passing on the baton to ensure the organization continues its upward trajectory.
Mr. Sethi had provided advance intimation to the Board of Directors regarding his intention to transition from his executive responsibilities. Pursuant to this, the Company initiated a comprehensive and structured succession planning process to ensure continuity, stability, and long-term leadership readiness, which is now nearing completion.
As part of this transition, Mr. Easwaran V, currently Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, will assume charge as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026, and will lead the Company during this phase.
The Company emphasized that this transition is part of a well-planned and orderly process and will not impact Protean’s business operations, strategic priorities, customer commitments, or growth trajectory. Protean’s leadership team remains fully aligned with the Company’s long-term strategy; and execution across business lines continues as planned.
